Boroughmuir 31, Uruguay 0
Boroughmuir cruised into the semi-finals with a comprehensive defeat of the final overseas team in the tournament, Uruguay.
'Muir, in their third tie of the afternoon, got off to a great start with two early scores. Malcolm Clapperton crossed for the first try and converted it himself, and then Mike Blair claimed his fifth touchdown of the afternoon with Boroughmuir's second try. James Reilly converted.
Blair claimed another before the break to put the tie out of reach, and Reilly again converted.
Rory Couper claimed his first try of the afternoon late in the second half to confirm Boroughmuir's dominance.
The sin-binning of Conti marred the tie, and Boroughmuir took advantage to score through Matt Morrell.
