NIG Scottish Thistles 29 Kelso 5
After an indifferent opening display, NIG Scottish Thistles stepped their performance up a couple of gears to oust the previously impressive Kelso.
The Scottish side got off to the best possible start with three early tries. First, home favourite, Craig Joiner, crossed and Graeme Kiddie converted.
Kiddie then got in on the try scoring act - claiming two in quick succession before the break.
A try in the last minute of the half from Andrew Wilson, converted by Kiddie, put the tie out of reach for the Border side.
Callum Young claimed a consolation score for Kelso, but Colin Eadie finished the scoring for the Scots.
