NIG Scottish Thistle 24, Peebles 12

The Scottish Thistles progressed to the final with a hard-fought victory over the last Border side in the tournament, Peebles.

Thistles opened the scoring with a try from Sean Lamount which Graeme Kiddie converted, but Peebles responded with a try from Cam Twigley, and Nichol added the conversion.

Gareth Flockhart burst through a couple of poor tackles to give the Scottish side the lead, and Andrew Wilson sprinted over early in the second to hand the initiative to the Scots.

Drew Moore brought Peebles back into the contest with a try, but a late score by Craig Joiner ensured the Scottish side a place in the final.
