Jed Forest 24, Peebles 21
Jed staged a second-half fight back to progress to a second round clash with hosts Melrose. Despite taking an early lead through a converted James White try, Peebles soon found themselves trailing to tries from Ross Goodfellow and Alan Hotson.
The Peebles skipper was back on the score sheet to put his side ahead for the second time and Scott Nichol extended the lead with an interception score on the stroke of halftime. Nichol converted all three opening half tries to give his side an eleven-point lead at the break.
Jed got back into the tie when Kevin Amos broke clear from the halfway line to score between the posts, and the veteran also converted. An interception score from Hotson put Jed ahead for the first time and they held on.\
