Three tries from Bob Wylie ensured an eventually comfortable passage to the second round for Stirling County despite a brave effort from Langholm .

Crowd favourites Langholm got off to stunning start with the opening try coming from Neil Douglas, and the men from Milntown continued to shine but could not add to their lead. Stirling hit back with two scores before the break. Craig Sangster and Bob Wylie grabbed the scores to give Stirling the upper hand.

Stirling raced away with the tie in the second half with tries coming from Graham Lindsay, Stewart MacAllister and a further two from Wylie
