Njord MacIver, though, took advantage of a loose Gala pass to send Cam Twigley clear. Twigley converted to halve Gala’s lead.

Former Melrose player Scott Nichol broke clear to touch down under the posts before converting to bring Peebles level.

A late score and conversion from Scott Nicol put Peebles through at the expense of fellow Borderers Gala.
