Peebles made hard work of it before comfortably overcoming Langholm to book their place in a second round tie against Gala.

Scott Nichol side-stepped his way to opening the scoring for Peebles before kicking the conversion. And Cam Twigley added a second before the interval.

A pass from Chris Foster on the half way line sent David Whiteford through for a score under the posts. Foster kicked the conversion before adding a brace of tries.

Drew Moore raced from inside his own half to close the tie with a score in the corner.
