Watsonians ran into an early lead in this battle of the city sides when Alan Nash and then Keith Watters scored.

Watsonians went further ahead when a burst of speed and side step from Andy Turnbull put him through under the posts. Colin Gregor crossed over twice in quick succession to put the tie beyond Boroughmuir.

Gregor also added four conversions as last weeks Gala Sevens winners put in a dominant first tie performance.
