Selkirk 12, Scottish Thistles 26
The Scottish Thistles went into the lead when Ian Kennedy was fed from a scrum on the half way line. Kennedy surged his way past the Selkirk defence to score under posts before adding the conversion.
Selkirk brought themselves level when Guy Blair ran the ball down the blindside before passing in to find Rory Aglen for the score. Blair then converted.
Ben Addison ran round Selkirk’s Simon Murdoch, the Kiwi gave chase, but Addison beat him to the line. Kennedy added the conversion as the Thistles restored their lead. Scottish Thistles broke from the restart with Richard Vernon up in support to claim the score.
Michael Jaffray then found Denver Rumney in space for Selkirk and Rumney squeezed down the side line to score in the corner.
Graham Leitch hit back for Thistles and Kennedy was again accurate with the boot to send his side forward to a quarter final tie with Kelso.
