Heriot's 21 Langholm 12

Bright spring sunshine had returned to the Greenyards when Apo Satala ran from the halfway line to put Heriot's ahead with James Thompson converting. John Houston repeated the trick for the Edinburgh side and Thompson was accurate with the boot to double Heriot's lead.

Langholm then threatened to repeat their performance of 2005, where they progressed to the third round, when good supportive play created opportunities for Jamie Little then Niall Cubbon with Little also converting his own effort to draw the Borderer’s within two points.

Scott Newlands settled any nerves for Heriot's supporters with a score below the posts and Thompson converted.
