Watsonians 36 Gala 0

Watsonians raced into an early three try lead over the conquerors of Selkirk. Two efforts from Brian Rennie sandwiched a score from Jamie Blackwood. Carl McWilliam converted both of Rennie’s scores.

Blackwood went back for a second helping of the try scoring action when he pounced on a loose ball behind the Gala line. McWilliam extended his team’s advantage with a well-taken conversion from the sideline.

Watsonians sustained their pressure into the second period with Gala offering little resistance. Darren Burns was held up just short of the line before McWilliam collected a loose ball to cross from a few yards out.

Replacement Stuart McAllister benefited from a fed by Rennie to provide the final try in this one sided tie.
