Peebles 21 Edinburgh Accies 7

Peebles and Edinburgh Accies exchanged scores in the first half of this tie. Vili Satala broke down the blind side before stepping back inside in the Peebles ’22 to score for Accies. Mike Campbell added the conversion before a run from Craig Hunter down the near sideline took him in for the try. Kiwi Dan Boughtwood kicked Peebles level with the conversion.
The Borderers went ahead early in the second period when Boughtwood broke through under the posts before adding the conversion.
Ex-rugby league player Donald Anderson broke through the Accies line to put Peebles further ahead. Boughtwood was again successful with the boot.
Accies threatened to hit back, but Dave Rattray knocked on as he attempted to break through in the last action of the tie.
