Watsonians 5 Ulster 28
Watsonians made Ulster work hard for their opening score, but a turn of pace by Keith Earls enabled him to break away from his tackler and touch down before adding the conversion himself. Clever passing created another opening for Ulster when substitute Brian Tuohy scored with his first touch under the posts. Earls again added the two points. Richard Briggs created Ulster’s third with a break from inside his own ’22 before laying the ball off to Felix Jones on the halfway line. Jones ran in from there for the try. Moments later Tuohy collected his second with Earls kicking both conversions. There was a late consolation score for the Scots when Andrew Skeen burst passed his man, but Ulster had already done enough damage and progressed into the quarter-finals.
