Melrose 7s 2007 - The Day

Basking in super sunshine Melrose produced another rugby spectacle for the capacity crowd. Eventual worthy winners were the Shimlas from South Africa and although it would have pleased many Borderers to have a local winner it did not detract from the carnival atmosphere around the town. We have tried to capture some of that atmosphere both on 7s day and the functions that preceded it in the pictures below.
Preparations for the 125th anniversary of Melrose Sevens next year (12th April 2008) are already under way.
